American Girl on Biggest Cultural Shock Dating an Austrian

An American-Austrian couple shares the biggest culture shocks that come with dating (and being married) to someone from another culture. How are Austrians different from Americans in communication and vice versa? What is the hardest thing about dating an Austrian as an American?
The Arnold Schwartzenegger doing the dishes thing was great. And movies where Arnold Schwartzenegger ends up doing domestic things like Kindergarten Cop have always been awesome
Thereβs so many Austrians that sound like Arnie, whereas Germans never do.
German accent IS very different
@@marvin2678 and you know, sometimes, Bavarians sound a bit like that in English.
β@@filippos4648Bavarians pronounce the a differently, so they sound different. Austrian is softer and more melodic than Bavarian and also the accent.
β@@marvin2678Do all Germans sound like Heidi Klum with her annoyingly high pitched voice and silly grin?
@@lissandrafreljord7913 the short answer is no.
This guy is hilarious lol
I love the fact that he kept true to himself in his style of speaking like tone, melody of speech
It is not hard to imagine this guy getting started in Austrian-German: βHeast oida, xyzβ¦β in the exact same style.
Haha yeah the accent was super Austrian
this man has a thicc aussie (the european one) accent, and not a german one. I myself am a native german speaker and know only by hearing him talking that heβs 100% not german by nationallity!
My mate doesnβt know Arnyβs accent.
@@OP4K iβve seen some of his interviews both in english and German. So I know his accent! But he is simply irrelevant in the German speaking world!
Obviously Chicago never married Chicago
Happy Thursday, Marina
I do think he sounds like Arnold Schwarzenegger with his accent. I have to say Get to the chopper!
He really sounds like Arnold.
He really does! I couldnβt hold a straight face while doing the interview
Vienna , Austria..one of the best and most beautiful places in the world . Love it
LOL he is really funny, and I love how he knows how to ham up his accent for comedic βArnoldβ effect.
βdo the dishes, no questionsβ
No, he doesnβt have a German accent. Itβs an Austrian one.
Sounding angry? Ridiculous.
I hope she was just trying to be funny.

Im American and I think she was being serious. I was surprised sne said German too
Austrian background, not German.
Iβm in Chicago. I went into the store across from the post office. I was thirsty asked for a drink. Guy behind the counter asks βdo you want anything to eat?β I go: no, thanks. He asks βWhy?β O_oβ¦ dude, why donβt I want something to eat? Umβ¦ Iβm not hungry, what do you want from me.
I ate pizza three times while in Chicago. It sucked every time.
As a German speaker I didnβt know that you can speak English with a distinctive Viennese accentβ¦ Wow!
Meidlinger L hauts ihm aussa
Whatβs with all zee questions ? I thought Iβd crossed the border already

His accent is so nice
At least he is smarter. Does more and say less.
They are just awesome!
I dated an Austrian. Same problem! He thought Americans talk too much too.
Austrians like Germans, Northern Europe and maybe Switzerland are known to be introverted countries. Anybody thatβs talkative, very social and inviting they donβt seem to like.
I wonder if she made the effort to learn German, it would be nice to learn each otherβs language
He even sounds more Arnie than Arnie
Arnold actually has a particularly rural Austrian accent, kind of like a southern accent in the US
