Thomas from Austria is shocked at living in America and dating an American. From communication, to table manners to big American supermarkets. How is dating in Austria and America different?

Army never lost his homeland accent
Get to the choppah!
As an European I can attest to that. Seeing Americans eat is one of the most off putting things on earth!
How ?
@@marvin2678 Americans have no manners. Eat with their mouth open, only use on fork like a troglodyte. I suppose if you are used to it you donβt notice it, but when it is ingrained in you how to always always eat with a knife and a fork, wipe your lips before using your glass to drink, finish eating and joining both utensils to the right to signal you are finished and so on and so forth it is off putting to see Americans not abide by the rules of civilized (European) society. But ultimately this is a cultural preference. I find equally off putting the Asian habit of slurping food or eating saucy food with your hands like Indians do! It is all a matter of perspective so nothing to be taken too serious!
This reminds me when in college we took 2 international students with us to the local Kroger and Walmart. They got really excited and ran around looking at every single aisle. They bought that canned βeasy cheeseβ and were excited to try it because they said it was like the movies. We were surprised anyone could find Kroger or Walmart interesting but it was fun to see them enjoy something so random lol.
@ilhuicatlamatini I took a nine day coach tour out of Denver twenty years ago. The split was about β American β international tourists. To pad the schedule one day, they DID stop at a Walmart for 90 mins. Most of the Americans did not get off. I was last back π
@@comealongcomealong4480 lol! I get it though, Iβd do same in reverse situation:)
First time in the US, got so excited about Target π
@@amyhagen94 ok Target is great, even I still get excited for it π
That's hilarious. I will never be not fascinated with how Europeans think the whole American stores being big is unique.
I was talking to this Dutch friend of mine, and I was talking about how I like how the infrastructure there was high quality. She was like "but you have a lot of variety in stores there!" And I was like... Yeah? But do you really need that?
Isnt it unique ?
Interracial couples are awesome π€©
Theyβre not interracial because theyβre both Caucasian. Prob meant intercultural.
@@rebekadoetsch but the lady is Latina I guess!
