I went to Rio de Janeiro to ask Brazilians about their dating scene and I found out that all Brazilians (Cariocas) that I interviewed told me they all had this.. This is an oldie from a few years back.

Brazilian are easy, not serious, and not committed. No wonder their fame.
Nah, there is something called serious relantionship in Brazil and it works basically like anywhere else in the world.
@@wagner9527Sure 😂
Sad culture
@wagner9527 Throughout Europe, Brazilian women are seen as easy and not trustful. That's a fact.
Os cariocas queimando nossa imagem e os portugas aproveitando pra sair sair nos esculhambando e destilando a raiva natural deles contra brasileiros.
Theres also the chance that they are liars
Why would they ?
@@marvin2678 Because people consider lack of sex as smt shameful or failure
They are liars and w hores😅
i am brazilian and i doubt they are lying, Rio de Janeiro is really crazy
Naw 😂😂😂😂😂 i love rio
I need to be around Brazilians now
No need to go all there jacksonville and orlando is near by
Happy Sunday, Marina! This is useful information
this is so sad, Living in a hypersexualized environment.
Glad im Not the only one
We are not Sad at ALL lol
@@pauladelapuente7626 Until you know your love is cheating on you with "friends"
@@pauladelapuente7626yes we are. Relationships got easily confuse
It's not hypersexualized it's just that we have the maturity to deal with it in a healthy way.
Sad culture
They don't look sad to me
I bet you are jealous
my gawd, loose moral values
Yep. So disgusting
Moral values dont need to be connected with sexuality
The fact that elders put a lot of their morals onto exactly it blinds us from this
The way I see it, they are friendly ane lovely, which are great moral values most countries lack
@@gustavalbericchidurocher9764they may have friendlier personalities than westerners but clearly need sexual education lol (let’s not forget stds/ stis are a thing).
@@erzascarlet5078 lets?? Because if they werent a thing, or in other words: if people use condoms what is the problem?
Also :
ALL Brazilians are NOT Cariocas!!! Those are ppl from Rio! Each region have their own apelido (nickname) :
From Bahia : baianos/baianas
From Sao Paolo : paulistos/paulistas
From Minas Gerais : mineiros/mineiras
There are NOT PaulistOs! PaulistAs are the same, masculine or feminine!
Learn some Portuguese!😅
@@alexandremartins7103 my apologies (I DO know portuguese….), but thought that Rio was the only region that used the feminine to describe everyone…Bahia - where I learned - uses both…
@@twilitezn Ok, no problem! Have a nice day.👍
@@twilitezn it can varie a lot. Some states like Amazonas also have a fixed form for masculine and feminine (Amazonense). The ones that end with "a" can be tricky because you usually associate it with a femine word, even though it can be a masculine one (We would say "o paulista" and "a paulista", so it is not that "paulista" is in the feminine, it just doesn't have a gender declination). Still very nice observation.
Oh and I wouldn't use the word "apelido", it can work with context but the more correct term would be "gentílico" (like gentilic in english) because apelido has a bit of an informal conotation and those are actually official "designations" that work like nationalities (same way as you would say new-yorker or texan).
@@MateusVIII thanks for the clarification Mateus! 👍🏾. Always willing to learn! 🥳
A quick note: contatinho can mean anything from someone you flirt with over text to friends with benefits. Also we filmed this in Rio which is renowned for being the most fun loving city in Brazil
Friends with benefits would be "amizade colorida" or "amigo colorido".
"Contatinho" doen't have a proper translation. It's a contact, someone you can call to MAYBE have something. More like a "booty call"
If "contatinho" doesn´t mean "friends with benefits"... why was this the translation chosen for the subtitles?
@@iumynaeuropa probably because the person who translated it is not Brazilian, and lack a more deep knowledge of Brazilian slangs.
It was close enough, but it might lead to some misinterpretation. Like people might think most Brazilians would have a friend's with benefits relationship, which is not the case
@@Joergvf I agree 100%.
The people were so kind to give a funny interview and the editor didn't even bother to find someone who really knows our slang to make an accurate translation of what they wanted to say... in the end looks more like a clickbait leading to misinterpretation. And to a bunch of comments with ridiculous assumptions about the country's culture based on a video with poorly translated slang.
Yes I definitely love those videos that only make single Brazilian women be more sexually harassed abroad, including at work. And I’ve never had more partners than any European or Australian girl I’ve ever met. Go to hell with this disgraceful video. It’s not fun
I'd be worried for STD's 🫥
You play, you pay!
@@AjitMD You date someone, you wonder where they've been, with how many and how many are they with now. I wouldn't trust anyone to tell the truth about using protection neither. 🤔
